I’ve been getting comfy in this alternate universe.
My approach to design is rooted in my lifelong drawing practice. Contouring edges. Drawn-out meditations. New curiosities give form to new understanding.
The flexibility of this practice throughout my life has led me towards cultivating a transdisciplinary skillset for visual storytelling and an approach to infusing branding into design systems. For me, unlearning is central to this practice. Which begins with remembering how to rebuild visual memory to describe my surroundings.
This approach feels regenerative — a way of thinking, organizing space, and crafting tools. Perhaps, it serves as a grounded starting point for the task of organizing communities within both digital and physical spaces.

ALL ORGANIZING IS SCIENCE FICTION

I have found that mark-making and leaning into gestures remain foundational exercises. By removing design and technological constraints to open up an intuitive space. Thinking without the scaffolding. Its vulnerability is a helpful reminder of how it is possible to start from a decentralized mental space. How do we bridge the gap between the morphology of culture and systems thinking? To conceptualize pathways, maybe we could start with less-than-perfect shapes. Finding intuitive gestures can reveal a lot about the direction of a story. A holding space to unlearn and adapt with fresh eyes.

Hi! 😊 Don't know if you might be interested but I love to write about sustainability (fashion, travel and our relationship with clothes). I'm a thrift shopping and vintage clothing lover who likes to explore the impact textile industry and consumistic culture have on the environment and also what people can do to shift the tendency.
